About the Role
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is critical for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This individual will leverage their expertise in data analysis, visualization, and reporting to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Visualization:
Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from various sources.
Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Utilize data visualization techniques to present findings clearly and effectively.
Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer specific business questions.
Reporting and Communication:
Create and deliver reports that summarize key insights and trends.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business needs into data requirements.
Data Quality and Management:
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Implement data validation and cleansing processes.
Maintain data dictionaries and documentation.
Business Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization through data analysis.
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Technology and Tools:
Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and tools.
Research and evaluate new tools and techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Provide technical support and training to users on BI tools and platforms.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in business Analytics or a related field is a plus.
3+ years of experience in a BI analyst or similar role.
Proven track record of delivering actionable insights and driving business decisions.
Strong proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate complex data into clear and concise insights.
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
